Ururu Kaigo

After studying French, Chinese and Italian cuisine extensively for ten years, Ururu Kaiko started her career as a food critic and has become popular in Japan. Her popularity stems from her wide perspective on food, a fusion of mind, technique and body as well as her relatively simple recipes. Through culinary delights she brings to attention all things in nature and proposes relishing food with the five senses and adding color to everyday life.
Ururu Kaigo is active in various fields related to cooking including participation in NHK's cookery programs for children, development of recipes for food companies, cooking classes for parents and children and dietary education. She now serves as sightseeing ambassador to Nara City, where she was born, promoting the revitalization of the town through culinary culture
