Kenichiro Mogi

Born in Tokyo in 1962, Kenichiro Mogi graduated from Tokyo University with a bachelor's degree in physics and law and moved on to further studies there, obtaining a Ph.D. in biophysics in 1992. After doing research at Riken and Cambridge University, he is now a senior researcher at Sony Computer Science Laboratories, Tokyo. He is also a visiting associate professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and also delivers lectures on the brain and the art part-time at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.

He has published numerous books in Japanese, including "Qualia and the Brain" (Nikkei Science, 1997) and "Brain and Imagination" (Shinchosha, 2004). Since January 2006, he has been an anchorman for NHK's popular program "Business Style."
