Enrico Ducrot

Enrico Ducrot, CEO of Viaggi dell'Elefante and Eco Luxury

Born in Rome in 1965 into a family of passionate and seasoned travelers, Enrico Ducrot has had considerable travel experience. By the age of fifteen he had already completed two extensive trips to the Orient in Central Asia and Afghanistan, Kashmir and Ladakh. Thereafter he crossed the Middle East several times, travelling through it by car, motorcycle and even once by bicycle.

In 1991 Enrico Ducrot started working for the upmarket tour operator "Viaggi dell'Elefante" as "destination discoverer," taking full advantage of his extensive travel experience. In 2001 he helped set up a camp in a Baja California park for which he received the Environmental Recognition Award at World Travel Market 2003.

Now as CEO of the marketing company Eco Luxury, Enrico advocates tourism that simultaneously promotes a sustainable economy, high quality standards and protection of the environment. He is also teaching Tourism and Archaeology at the Lucca University Campus.
